Important Candidate Information
Start Date: This role is planned to commence on October 1, 2026, in Dresden. Depending on your needs and timeline preferences, January 1, 2027, can be considered as an alternative start date.
Onboarding and International Training: The first month of your employment will be spent in Dresden. Following this initial onboarding, training, and integration with your new team members, you will travel to Taiwan for a one-year on-the-job training and knowledge transfer program. Your training in Taiwan will involve close collaboration with experienced TSMC engineering teams. You may also receive additional training and support at TSMC’s state-of-the-art Newcomer Training Center in Taichung.
Training Logistics: For employees requiring accommodation during the first month in Dresden, and who reside more than 90 minutes away, ESMC will organize appropriate temporary lodging. This provision does not apply to employees who establish a residential address in Dresden (e.g., to expedite work permit procedures away from their original place of residence) or who terminate a personal lease contract in Dresden prior to their planned departure to Taiwan. Furthermore, ESMC will organize and provide air and ground transportation from Dresden to Taichung (Taiwan) and back at the conclusion of the training. Accommodation in Taiwan will be provided in one of TSMC’s modern and comfortable company dormitories.
Role Requirements and Expectations: This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to TSMC’s world-leading advanced manufacturing practices and actively contribute to building ESMC from the ground up. As a start-up organization, ESMC offers the opportunity to play an active role in shaping the company’s culture, future organization and ways of working. Candidates should be comfortable in a dynamic environment where certain operational details such as processes, documentation, shift structures, will continue to evolve during the ramp-up phase. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong growth mindset, a positive attitude, and a long-term perspective.
