My three years at Airbus Helicopters offered an unforgettable, unique engineering experience. It is not every day one gets hands-on exposure to the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of complex aircraft. Seeing a helicopter assembled from components and put through rigorous quality checks was an unparalleled learning environment. On a practical level, the salary was competitive, and the flexibility with working hours provided good autonomy.

1) about the temporary contract While the technical challenges were highly stimulating, the primary limitation was the structural insecurity inherent in the three-year temporary contract framework. My commitment to the organization was profound: I devoted three full years to the role and, based on the expectation of transitioning to a direct employee, I declined two external job offers during that period. This decision demonstrated my loyalty and belief in the company’s future with my talent. However, the anticipated direct employment did not materialize at the end of the contract, resulting in a significant professional disappointment. The biggest drawback was, therefore, enduring a prolonged period of contractual uncertainty and the final result of not being converted to a direct employee, which reinforced the need for long-term internal security in my next position. 2) about the operational environment The operational environment presented an excellent opportunity to demonstrate high self-initiative and discipline. Working as a dedicated developer within a non-developer-centric department required me to function as a technical leader and ambassador for data solutions. Early on, I leveraged strong communication skills and proactive engagement to educate colleagues on the possibilities of automation, effectively bridging the knowledge gap and driving adoption from the ground up. This unique structure meant I quickly became the primary technical owner, demanding rapid and decisive responses to project needs and domain-specific challenges (e.g., Quality requirements). The primary structural limitation was the absence of a dedicated software development and data analysis track within the department, as well as the lack of direct peers and management with a dedicated data-driven vision. This decentralized environment required tremendous resilience and forced me to create my own learning path for specialized corporate tools, thereby cultivating exceptional resourcefulness and a deep sense of project ownership.

I thought coming in this organization would treat you better, but they still haven't learned from years of people have these experiences. This "one team" is simply obedience and this is not a review from someone who didn't want to do there job. It is purely a social game here. I haven't met a person yet who didn't talk about drinking or trying to have unprofessional relations within this organization. They have people who care, but not enough to actually do anything about it. They made promises of fixing the underlying issues, sending people to other locations, working to make the workplace better. But I promise you, they won't. In the U.S., you are a pawn to them, this is still a European company, and ethics isn't there game and you don't want to play. You can report, take time to make sure things are safe for others, but God forbid if you get a manager who sees you as a threat or gaslights you about your performance. They want you to rush, take unnecessary risks and they will discriminate you depending on the location. Come prepared with ADA accommodations, empower yourself to say no. And do everything you can to protect yourself if you want a job here without putting someone's life at risk. There is a reason Airbus tapered with evidence gathering flight recordings in France. And. they. got. away. with. It. If you get to a place were you can turn a blind eye, or have what I call, golden life privilege, where you made it somewhere and have some skills hard to come by with inequity in this world, then sign right up. That's what these positive reviews are about, it is just a game and they play the popularity contest to win. Not to keep you, and they will let you go, when you stand by the so called integrity they hire you on. Because this is a first hand account of it, and they will, take all the information you gather away from you.
