Lots of legacy code with no documentation. Hard to get promoted without being lucky enough to get included into meetings with higher management. Engineering job titles tend to be inflated - e.g. a person with 2 years of experience can become a senior se while earning 11k brutto, which is well below market average. Lots of time spent on superficial corporate discussions. Neglecting desperate need of refactoring and incorporating good engineering practices.
