Ich habe mich online beworben. Der Vorgang dauerte 4 Wochen. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im Nov. 2018 bei C.H. Robinson (Los Angeles, CA)

      Vorstellungsgespräch

I had a phone interview with the recruiter first and it was some standard questions about your background and ect, and then she explained about what the company does and what different roles entitle. She made the recommendation and i received an email about an in person interview for a week later. I had 2 in person interviews, glassdoor has been helpful getting me ready for them so I feel I should give back some. the first interview was with the sales manager, he asked some tough questions and answered all the questions I had. Very professional and definitely learned a lot about the company and the role. followed by the interview, he arranged me to sit down with 2 people from different department to learn more about their roles and what the company does. after that i was given a scenario for a sales pitch (i need to stress here that the topic was not logistic related, i read some people mentioning about the sales pitch but i was under the impression that it was a mockup sales call to a logistic client but it was actually a totally different topic.) I was given 30 mins to put together a presentation and had to present it to 3 managers as if they were the clients. Not as easy as it seems :) the 1st interview took about 2.5 hours. The 2nd interview was with the GM and another manager, again they were all very professional and asked some questions and made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Received offer about 2 days later and started the background check which took about a week. The whole process took about 5 weeks but I do think it was absolutely necessary since they are investing a lot in you. overall i think it was a wonderful experience and I am really excited to start at the new job!

      Vorstellungsgespräch

I applied online, and I was contacted by the recruiter by email within 2 days to set up a phone interview. During the phone interview, the recruiter did not know the commission plan offered for this sales role (she stated this sales role is base salary + commission). She wanted to know my salary expectations yet she did not have any explanation or details on the commission plan and how much the commission factored into the total compensation for this role. The recruiter then tried to explain about their "Excellent" benefit package and said that they offered 401K. I asked when the 401K would be vested? She did not know the meaning of the word vested and I had to explain to her what vesting means. She did not understand that some 401K plans are vested immediately and some plans are vested over years of service with the company, depending on the plan. She had no idea about this information or what the word vested meant, yet she was trying to tell me about their wonderful benefits. There was no company car or car allowance provided for a sales role which requires 50-75% travel over multiple states. This is completely unacceptable. I have worked in sales for other companies and most other companies either provide their sales people with a company car or provide a monthly car allowance/stipend to cover mileage, and expenses on the car. I declined proceeding further with the position as I was not willing to put excessive miles on my personal car for business travel without being properly re-imbursed. Clearly this company doesn't even know how to operate professionally or the benefits it is offering, or the recruiter doesn't know how to explain its benefits properly. I would not want to work for such an unprofessional, dis-organized company.
