To kick-start this conversation from an LGBTQ+ perspective, we compiled some resources and cultural picks over on our Inside SumUp blog.
It’s great to see SumUppers taking the time to give back to the community. Shai, an Events Manager in Berlin, was able to help us do our part through donations to a local nursing home. “Last year, I wanted to donate some of my spare time to a good cause that is close to my heart. I lost all my grandparents at quite a young age, so I decided to volunteer at a home for the elderly. I started volunteering at Caritas-Seniorenzentrum St. Johannes in Berlin, but since the coronavirus pandemic started, I haven’t been able to go. I was really pleased when SumUp agreed to give me some medical masks to donate to them. It will allow them to have more family visits now that the Senate has lifted the visitation ban.”
It’s important to be mindful of the impact the pandemic can have on mental wellbeing. That’s why a group of SumUppers hosted a panel about safeguarding mental health during times of crisis. Check out their top tips on our Inside SumUp blog.
