Grede New Castle supported the "Fire Up Dwntwn" event in Downtown Muncie, Indiana. 🔥🎇 We proudly donated iron for the Liquid Fire Iron Pour portion to showcase the metalworking skills in the foundry industry. The sizzling summer event was packed with engaging activities and attractions for the whole family, including hot air balloons, spicy foods, smokin’ ribs, fireworks, and more. This week, Grede connected with plenty of students at Michigan Technological University's Foundry Fest career fair! 🎓👩🎓 Michigan Tech, a research university focused on science and engineering in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, is one of our Grow with Grede partner schools. Grede Iron Mountain is also located in the U.P., and our very own Tyler Hill, Vice President of Commercial Vehicle and Industrial Operations (on the very right in the first picture), and Anna Palmcook, Grede Grad (pictured to the left of Tyler), are both MTU alumni. MTU has a fantastic Materials Science and Engineering degree, so we were eager to meet students interested in the foundry of the future. Blizzard T. Congratulations to Grede New Castle for achieving two years without a lost time incident! ⭐⭐ Grede New Castle in Indiana achieved two years of zero lost time incidents on July 29, 2024. They celebrated this achievement last week with a cookout and provided all team members with a special t-shirt and cooler bag. The team also reached one million hours without a lost-time incident on Dec. 13, 2023. These remarkable achievements are a testament to the collective effort and commitment to the safety of the entire team. When asked what is next for the team at New Castle, “We aren’t going to stop here,” said Mark Brock, General Manager. “We aren’t going to lower any of our standards.
