Grede supports the Wish-A-Mile Bicycle Tour by Make-A-Wish Michigan. The 300-mile bike ride helps grant wishes to Michigan children with critical illnesses. Grede’s headquarters are in Southfield, Michigan. We’ve been supporting this event and local organization for nine years. Steve Sechrist, VP of Automotive Sales, and Susan Bear, Chief Technology Officer, are part of “Team Connor,” which is sponsored by Grede and named after the first child they granted a wish for when we started supporting this cause in 2015. Grede is matching donations (up to $12,000) and sponsored a break stop for the ride. Steve has been participating since 2015! He’s sharing his progress and location through his Cyclemeter App with those who have donated to his fundraising page. Our riders have been staying safe and making friends along the way during their various breaks! One of Grede’s core values is corporate citizenship; we’re highly involved in our communities. Summer fun roundup! 😎 Our plants took advantage of the nice weather in June and held summer activities with food and fun. 🌮 Our facility in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, hosted a taco truck. 🍦 Our Reedsburg, Wisconsin, facility had an ice cream social. 🥘 Grede Biscoe in North Carolina held a Safety Month cookout. 🦍 Grede New Castle organized an outing to the Indianapolis Zoo. 💰 Our Brewton, Alabama, plant held a scratch-off jackpot for Safety Month. We had a great time on our float at the Reedsburg Butterfest Parade in Wisconsin! It was our second time in the parade to promote Grede. We also sponsored the event.
