Company policies are good. Flexible timings, Leave policy is good. If managers are good and professional I think there can be good work life balance.

1. Retail lab is the worst team to work in. The leads are from service background and are good for nothing. They don't know people management. 3. No wfh is given. Working hours are from 8am to 4.30pm. But people who stay beyond 4.30 pm are considered as good resources. It is ok even if you roam around after 4.30pm. But staying beyond working hours is a big advantage in this team. 4. Shell provides on call allowances if you work after 4.30pm and allowance who come in 2nd shift. Resources in the team are forced to stay late or come in 2nd shift and never given allowance. If you refuse to come you are labelled as bad resource. 5. You need to butter leads to travel. Resources are not given long term travel opportunities even though there is a requirement as travel beyond 3 weeks has to be paid. Instead resources come back after 3 weeks and travel again after a week. 6. No respect to resources. Resources are treated as slaves. Personal favours are asked by leads especially the flirt and few people entertain. Because of all this professional resources are suffering. 7. Half of the lab is under qualified by education, experience and professionalism. They are only surviving on buttering skills. 8. No job security. Only buttering resources are assured of promotions and job security. Others are directly told in review meetings that they are under performing. You are fool/ok to butter leads if you join this team even after reading this review.
