Pros

Pay was ok and work was interesting at times. Other people in the CLM level were awesome and showed great teamwork. Upper management should value this and follow suit.

Kontras

Upper managers have no backbone. Work life balance is a joke. You are working 12 plus hour days, expected to promote safety among union employees who can care less and are never held accountable. You never see the SLM as he works bankers hours and doesn't seem to concerned for his team. They don't follow their company handbook regarding holiday pay or vacation time and adjust the rules to whatever fits them at the time.

Pros

Great hours, I have an awesome OS and OM. I was salary exempt so if I worked over 40 hours I was paid hourly after that. I was also paid weekly which was extremely nice.

No relocation assistance for in-state promotions.

Pros

You get to work on real supply chain problems that actually matter to operations, not just theoretical stuff. Remote flexibility is solid and the work-life balance is fair. The tech stack is modern (Snowflake, Azure, Power BI) and if you're someone who takes initiative, you'll get the chance to own things end-to-end. The people you work with day-to-day are genuinely good and most teams have a collaborative culture.

Kontras

Growth from senior level and beyond can be painfully slow even when you're clearly doing the work above your role. Leadership and org changes happen often which resets your visibility and momentum with whoever is advocating for you. Some areas still lack clear ownership so things fall through the cracks or land on whoever is willing to pick them up. Pay doesn't always reflect the scope of what you're actually doing.
