Promotions mainly based on years of experience. Difference in compensation raises for excellent performers and average performers just fractions of a percent. Expect two to four percent annual raises, no bonuses or stock options. Be prepared to spin your wheels not doing much for years. Can be frustrating if you like to accomplish tasks.
