Pros

The environment created is a good one to learn. Be it the art of politics, or the technical art of delivering multiple different products. Its a big company, so its able to withstand financial turbulence in the market.

Kontras

The company is structured in a way where you have too many bosses for the workers you have. Movement in the company is limited because of the structure, as people sit in there positions for years, not allowing movement up. The company also limits what you can make per position. So for those happy sitting in the same position, you will cap off eventually. Meaning your raises reach a point of being controlled so that they extend how long it takes you to cap off. One other item that is not good is the non compete they make you sign. Its world wide and groups in any business that competes against Lexis Nexis. That means almost every company out there. Probably not enforceable, but the fact the make you sign this is not good if you have issues growing your career at the company and must leave to continue career growth.

Pros

The company has a strong market position and the work is genuinely meaningful. The data and risk solutions space is interesting and the business has real substance behind it. Colleagues are generally knowledgeable and willing to help when you can find the right people.

Kontras

Onboarding is largely sink-or-swim. New hires inherit work in progress without adequate context, documentation, or ramp-up support. Access to the tools, data, and systems you need to do your job can take weeks to materialize, which puts you behind before you even get started. There’s an expectation of immediate execution without the infrastructure to support it, and little formal process for how campaigns or projects are handed off.
