9yWe regret that you have a downbeat view of the work here at Informatica. Some of your frustration is understandable – we have been going to shorter release cycles and some teams are working on multiple releases. These are changes from our past practices, so we are learning as we adjust and some miscues are going to occur. This is not to excuse, but rather to explain, the reasons why. As for promotions, the calculus that goes into advancing one person over others is complex and relies on many factors. Tenure is one, but so are performance, results, proclivity for managerial “soft” skills, and other facets. We do have training for managers, and are planning on adding more to the curriculum as required. Hopefully, you will see the shift to more agile development become smoother and less stressful as well as appreciate what it takes to advance in a growing organisation such as Informatica.
