Pay is highest in area. If you dont like to work but can suck up to the boss then you will have it made. Minorities and women take priority over experience, intellect, and quality of work.

Management heavy. I had 12 bosses that didnt talk to each other and each would give you something different to do and then write you for doing what they told you. Management used the carrot and stick method. They would dangle a carrot in front of you to get you to work harder then give the carrot to someone else who didnt work just spent all their time in the managers office. If you slowed down after they gave your carrot away then it was time for the stick which they used to take away your yearly bonus. Image is everything. As long as it looked good they didnt care. We processed several cars where the safety bar was not attached to the door just so we could get units out the door. Made our numbers good but quality and safety were not considered. Safety is extremely low on the companies priorities. People would get hurt everyday and nothing was done to correct the problem. We had people coming to work with broken bones because they couldn't stay out of work because the company wouldn't take care of safety issues or care about their people. Large amounts of layoffs. Would hire tons of people, work them for a couple of months then lay everyone off for a couple of months. Full time employees had to to 3 or 4 jobs because most of the year they would not have enough people to run the plant. 4 month out of the year the plant was overflowing with temps just standing around doing nothing until the large layoffs happened every year.
