I applied about two years ago, but my experience was memorable and I can easily recall the details. I was not hired for the original role at NetEnt that I applied for. However, my details were kept on file and a few months later when they had another opening, I had a phone interview with a recruiter. Although my credentials were a strong match for the position, I had accepted another job elsewhere which I was not eager to leave. After a pleasant conversation with the recruiter about NetEnt and the position, I told him that that in order not to waste each other's time, I would like to know the salary range that they had in mind. To my utter surprise, the recruiter was shocked that I would ask about money and was eager to tell me so (and in quite an unprofessional manner, in my opinion). Naturally, the application process terminated at this point. I find it quite ironic that a company in the online casino industry expects potential employees to act uninterested in their salary, as if the monetary compensation should only be a secondary interest behind a burning passion for online gambling solutions.
