1st interview was by phone, the second was in person, and the third can be either phone or in person depending on whether or not you're local. It was stressed that they may take a very long time to go through the whole process, but I thought that while it wasn't immediate, it was fairly standard - a few weeks before they asked for an interview, a week or so in between interview steps.
