During the walk-in interview, my interviewer mentioned that they were stepping in to replace someone else for the interview process.
The concern I encountered during the interview process was the absence of questions directly related to my skills and industry experience. When I sought clarification about the role, the responses I received were often along the lines of "I'm not quite sure about that." Despite the overall relaxed nature of the conversation, I found that the questions were limited to generic inquiries such as 'Tell me your strengths and weaknesses.' This experience left me with the impression that I was not being treated as a job seeker, but more like a student visiting the company's operations.
Right after the interview process, I had a strong sense that my chances of progressing to a second interview were slim given the nature of the process. In general, I didn't feel like I was treated as a serious job seeker, and it seemed that the effort I put into preparing for the interview was not being valued.
While I understand that walk-in interviews may follow certain practices, this experience has led me to conclude that it's not something I would opt for in the future.
