      Bewerbung

Ich habe mich online beworben. Vorstellungsgespräch absolviert im Feb. 2024 bei Bullish (Hongkong)

      Vorstellungsgespräch

The interview process dragged on and on. I first interviewed the Head of Regulatory Affairs, then the Head of Legal, then the COO, then the CEO. Having gone through so many rounds, I thought Bullish should have a fairly good idea as to whether I am a good fit/whether I have the experiences which it is looking for. However, it then invited me to an "informal interview" over drinks with the entire team, including Head of Risk and Head of Custody for almost 3 hours. During the "informal interview", the Head of Regulatory Affairs said I need to complete a written test to assess my drafting skills. First of all, if Bullish wants to carry out a written assessment, would it not make much more sense to do it at the beginning, as opposed to end of the interview. More importantly, this is not an entry level position. I completed a one page written assessment and I asked for feedback to which I was told the team is still considering the written assessment. However, during the "informal interview", the Head of Regulatory Affairs indicated that there is some urgency to fill this role and suggested that I would not be able to take some time off in my current role prior to joining them. Anyway, I did not follow up and approximately 3 weeks later, I was told that Bullish has "decided to move forward with another candidate whose skillsets and experience are closer to our requirement". I am somewhat stunned as after going through multiple rounds + an "informal drinks" which took almost 3 hours + a written assessment one would have at least picked up the phone and let me know. To make things worst, when I ask for constructive feedback, I received no response when Bullish can easily say "it is against our company policy to provide you with feedback". I cannot recall the length of the process but I think it has taken approximately 3 months.

      Fragen im Vorstellungsgespräch [1]

      Frage 1

BaFin, the Germany regulatory, insisted that we need to hire staff to sit in Frankfurt before it will grant us a licence. However, we do not purport to do so - what do you think our response to BaFin should be?
