Meet Luna, our South Hills clinic's 5-year-old Corgi mix therapy dog! 🐾 Adopted at just 8 weeks old, Luna has been the constant companion of therapist Liz Bailey and Liz's partner through an incredible journey. Together, they tackled an extensive training during Liz's graduate studies and Luna graduated with flying colors, making the two an unbeatable team! 🌟 Luna's favorite activities include playing fetch, pawing for affection, and providing deep pressure therapy by napping on your lap. Whether she's on duty or off, her presence is always comforting and uplifting. Canine-assisted therapy offers numerous benefits such as emotion regulation, stress and anxiety reduction, alleviating depressive symptoms, addressing grief and loss, lowering blood pressure, enhancing self-esteem, improving socialization, reducing emotional and behavioral issues, and fostering trust. This month, our Harmony team had the pleasure of attending the West Virginia Wellness Festival, organized by the Forgiven Warrior Project. It was a fantastic day dedicated to connecting with wellness experts and discovering innovative ways to enhance our health and well-being. The event provided an excellent opportunity to explore health and wellness in an engaging and enjoyable way. We set up a booth and participated in an activity-packed day for friends and family.
