We’re excited to welcome 40 new interns to our Renesas India team! The students have joined us at our Bangalore, Noida and Hyderabad offices, and will be working across our Power, HPC, Analog & Connectivity, and Software & Digitalization groups. We’re excited to see how much they learn and grow throughout their 6-month internship. Recently, our Taiwan team hosted an inspiring Women in Tech – Cross Generation Talk at our Zhubei office, bringing together professionals and students for an insightful discussion on career growth and overcoming challenges in the tech industry. We were honored to welcome two exceptional guest speakers: Associate Professor Wei-Chen Tu from National Cheng Kung University’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Stacey Cho, Renesas Sales Director. Through their success stories, life mottos, and perspectives on work and life, they shared invaluable strategies for thriving in high-tech environments where women remain underrepresented. Employees and students alike left the session feeling motivated to embrace challenges, lean into opportunities, and drive succeass at every career stage. We are excited to welcome Utae Nakanishi as our new Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Utae comes to Renesas following a 25-year tenure with the global semiconductor company, Micron Technology, Inc. In her most recent Micron role as Vice President, Global Business Partnering and Talent Management, Utae focused on enabling business success through innovative talent solutions while preparing organizations, leaders and employees to meet the evolving demands of the rapidly growing memory semiconductor industry. At Renesas, she will further strengthen our Human Resources and General Affairs capabilities and systems. She will also foster an innovative, inclusive culture that will drive a high-performance and engaging environment to attract, retain and develop our talent.
We’re excited to share that we’ve signed an agreement with Honda to develop a high-performance system-on-chip (SoC) for software-defined vehicles. Together, we’ll accelerate the integration of advanced semiconductor and software innovations into the Honda 0 Series, enhancing the mobility experience for customers. The new SoC is designed to deliver leading-edge AI performance of 2,000 TOPS combined with world-class power efficiency of 20 TOPS/W. It is slated for use in future models of Honda’s new electric vehicle (EV), “Honda 0 Series,” which is expected to launch in the late 2020s.
