And here at the NSPCC, we couldn’t agree more, our volunteers are absolute legends. They’re not just part of what we do, they’re the beating heart of it. Without them, we simply couldn’t be there for the children and young people who need us most. So, we took the week to shout from the rooftops (and our intranet) just how amazing they are, sharing their stories, heartfelt thank yous, and a few happy tears along the way. 💼 Thinking About a Change? 🌟 Childhood Day 2025: Move a Mile, Make a Difference It's back a bigger than ever! Mark your calendars: 6th June 2022 is not just another Friday, it's when our colleagues and volunteers across the country will come together for another day of demonstrating our commitment to keeping children safe. Will you join us? Whether you join in through the Childhood Day Mile, volunteering or donating, join our colleagues and volunteers as they play their part. 🏃♀️ What’s Move a Mile? It’s simple: move a mile, your way, and raise money to support the NSPCC’s vital work. You can go solo, team up with colleagues, get your school involved, or even bring your dog. Last year, some participants even read a mile, that’s a whopping 8,169 pages! So if running’s not your thing, don’t worry. You can still turn pages for a purpose. 💚 Why It Matters Every mile moved and every pound raised helps the NSPCC: - Respond to nearly 70,000 contacts a year through the Helpline - Reach over 1.5 million children in schools with safeguarding assemblies - Deliver 13,500 counselling sessions a month through Childline It's not just impressive, it's life changing! 🧡 How to Get Involved 1.
