Last week our cofounder & CEO, Enrique Lizaso Olmos, joined industry leaders and the spanish Secretary of State for Defence to discuss strategic priorities from AI to technological sovereignty in an increasingly complex geopolitical landscape 🌍 At Multiverse Computing, we believe advanced AI will play a key role in strengthening defense capabilities and efficiency. #Defense hashtag#AI hashtag#Security hashtag#Innovation
The AI-SHIELD project, coordinated by Multiverse Computing, has been selected for funding under the European Defence Fund (EDF) 2025 🇪🇺 Over the next 48 months, we will lead a 7-partner consortium spanning Spain, Belgium, Poland, Czechia, Greece, and Bulgaria to deliver a private, deployable, sustainable and efficient large language model that becomes a strategic asset for defence end-users on mission-critical environments. AI-SHIELD will: 🔹 Enhance intelligence analysis and situational awareness 🔹 Enable advanced mission planning and decision support 🔹 Preserve data confidentiality and operational autonomy 🔹 Leverage compression to reduce model size and energy consumption by up to 80% This project marks a major step forward in building sovereign, privacy-preserving AI capabilities in Europe. We are excited to collaborate with top partners across the continent to push the boundaries of efficient and secure AI at the edge.
AI will define the course of our society in the coming decades. But are we fully aware of its impact? 🤔 Our co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer, Román Orús, has been selected as the only Spanish representative on the United Nations’ International Scientific Panel on AI 🌍. In this context, he highlights a powerful idea: AI can be compared to the “birth of the atomic bomb” due to its transformative potential and its risks. “AI is almost like the new Manhattan Project… it cannot simply be left unchecked.” Yesterday, he also took part in a meeting of the UN expert panel at the Spanish Parliament, alongside Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez a key moment reflecting the growing importance of international collaboration and governance in AI. We are facing a truly general-purpose technology that is already reshaping industries and society, placing us at the beginning of a new Industrial Revolution ⚙️🚀
🇯🇵Multiverse Computing Announces Strategic Collaboration with Marubeni Corporation to Expand CompactifAI Deployment in Japan Marubeni will lead a comprehensive market study to evaluate demand and use cases for CompactifAI across Japan's industrial landscape, laying the groundwork for a full commercial rollout. Why Japan? The country's rapid adoption of generative AI has surfaced critical challenges: soaring data center energy consumption, limited compute availability, and skyrocketing infrastructure costs. CompactifAI addresses these directly: ✅ Up to ~90% reduction in model size ✅ Only 2–3% accuracy loss ✅ Faster inference, lower cloud costs ✅ Significantly reduced energy consumption ✅ Sovereign, on-premise AI deployments This partnership marks a major milestone in Multiverse Computing's global expansion, bringing quantum-inspired AI optimization to one of the world's most advanced technology markets.
