This is advertised as a true sales role, which is false because this is a sourcing role. This a completely outbound sales team but don't expect to be paid for it! There are no inbound leads what so ever... you are completely on your own. This company does not invest in lead generation or marketing to help you. Be prepared to work early, late, and weekends sourcing and bothering thousands of people with emails and calls. SDRs here are glorified laborers sending the same emails to the same people month after month. Get ready to be compared to your peers' success even though you all collaborated together.... it's actually a joke. The minimum expectation is 3000 emails, 300 dials, and hundreds of LinkedIn messages all for the small chance someone might say "yes." If you find a meeting (it's all luck at this point) then once you hand off to the AE you're expected to be completely silent. There is zero opportunity to be client-facing in the interest of closing deals. Nothing is qualified unless the AE thinks they're going to send it to contract. If the deal falls through, oh well! The product is redundant in a space where freelance sourcing and compliance software already hold market share. Leadership, to put it nicely, is incompetent. Running an American business is not in the stars for these men. The entire organizational structure has evaporated in 6 months. When you have a 15-minute meeting put on your calendar, you are being fired with no warning, no performance improvement plan (that they have a policy for and don't abide by), and no severance. They have no ability to recognize true talent and potential aside from one person from which they base every success story off of. Good luck getting a word in with either of them! The company has a culture of fear and resentment. Your opinion is worthless and will be used against you when they question your "loyalty." Transparency? The CEO told us we as a company has "deep pockets" but then slashed the commission structure and hasn't implemented a lead gen software so people CAN actually hit quota. The quota is meant to be out of reach so they don't have to pay you a dime. No one on the team made a commission last month... what does that tell you? Whatever they tell you, you are not special. You are not going to be valued or heard, there is zero room for growth or money. You are no different than the 10 SDRs that were let go before you in this year alone. You will be chewed up and spit out, wondering how these men get away with running a tainted operation like this one. This company is going down fast, get your popcorn!
