Pros

Long-term staff carry the organization through service delivery. Latina business services staff are rock stars! Benefits were decent.

Kontras

Extremely high turnover. Low salaries for everyone but the "c-suite" CEO Emilia DiMenco is divisive and ineffective... berates employees in front of others. Staff missed founder Hedy. Inflexible schedule and a lot of overtime worked. Staff morale was extremely low. Once, the only male staffer, at the time, was terminated and escorted out of the office during a baby shower for another staffer!

Pros

Mission-driven organization. Fairly well structured for a non-profit. Autonomy to create new initiatives. Highly attuned to DEI even if it’s scrubbed from the website.

Kontras

Culture micro-managed by CEO with dated ideas and values. No real HR department or employee relations focus - HR is the CEOs lapdog. Pay is horrible. Very limited advancement opportunities.
