Pros
Good benefits, consistent hours and work, holiday pay. Great co-workers but the leads were more approachable than upper management.
Kontras
It's a lot of who you know and not what you know. There is a lot of hand waving with any issues you bring up and management may target you for any small reason. Beware of Management, they can go on a power trip. One or more members of upper management can block progress if you ever plan on moving out of the department. Pay is behind the times and your reviews will never match your output.
Manager is not approachable but wants you to go to them before you tell anyone else. If you see something, you're better off either not saying anything or reporting it anonymously.
Very political, lots of favoritism.
