Pros
Children and colleagues were lovely
Kontras
Horrible pay for the amount of work asked of you. I know of people currently being paid under minimum wage there. The boss is unreliable, she will not stay in contact with you or answer calls / texts if you have any concerns. At age 16 I was teaching 7 different children different subjects whilst also expected to prepare homework and mark it, often for children who I wasn't teaching, as well as without a mark scheme often. The classroom was messy and unclean, as she often relied on the tutors to clean after their hours. I would arrive at my shift and the boss would have no idea what was going on, she would have no work printed out for the kids, or it would be some generic sheet of work which they had already done. She wouldn't let us get paid for extra time working, such as if I chose to prepare lessons prior, or time it took to write my own invoice (?!). She charges an insane rate to parents, and the parents shouldn't get their children tutored at Tutor World either as the boss is terrible and I, at the time 16, cannot offer the best tuition when I am so overworked for barely minimum wage. As well as this, I was promised a pay increase twice, which never materialised.
