Pros

Fabulous doctors, support staff, and fellow nurses.

Kontras

I cannot say this enough. Upper management is horrible. I strongly advise against ever working for TriHealth ESPECIALLY if you are a nurse wanting to eventually further your education. TriHealth does not see the value in Nurse Practitioners, PAs, and nurses in general. They spend too much money on Mark Clement’s “consultants” and do not care about quality patient care. Run to UC or Christ where they appreciate nurses more! I am convinced that TriHealth is a very corrupt organization.

Pros

I’ve worked at a few of the hospital systems in the city and have to say I think TriHealth is one of the better ones. The benefits are relatively affordable as long as you’re willing to use TriHealth providers. Nursing has a well defined clinical ladder process and new grad onboarding process.

Kontras

Pay is a little low to start because of the clinical ladder process. You have to be there a year before you can apply to advance and get the pay bump. That feels a bit…slimy…because all of the reasons I am eligible for advancement existed when I was hired, so why not just hire in at that level? PTO accrual is so slow. And short term disability is only 60% of your base pay so you also lose your critical care incentive and differentials, etc so it’s more like 40-50% of your pay, so you better hope you don’t need to be out for any period of time.
