Pros

Staff discount Made friends with other part timers

Kontras

- Unrealistic expectations from the bosses, were timed for every task - folding clothes, picking orders, racking clothes. felt micromanaged. bosses were extremely out of touch with what was going on in the warehouse and how long each task realistically takes - better management of the part timers should have been done, the culture was not like this when it was still with previous ops manager A who cared about the part timers. Certain part timers were always slacking but were never caught and were instead favoured and given easier tasks - new hire ops ft was also inefficient with her own task but was constantly telling part timers to be faster - Pay is probably the lowest out of all blogshops - Trying to streamline operations due to slow down in sales but customers were complaining about the rebranding and new designs

Pros

1. Good learning opportunity, especially for fresh grads with little to no exposure to the fashion retail industry, as you’ll be expected to juggle multiple responsibilities and a heavy workload. 2. Made some great friends through mutual trauma bonding. 3. Staff discount

Kontras

1. Not ideal for a long-term career. You’ll soon realise that many leaders here lack strategic direction and are unable to provide proper guidance. If things don’t go well, be prepared to have your capabilities, attitude, or passion for the company questioned. Management tends to favour employees who don’t challenge decisions and simply go along with what’s asked. 2. Favouritism is very obvious here. If you’re in the bosses’ good books, you’ll have a much easier time. If you’re not, expect to be judged for everything you do. 3. Office politics are alive and well here. The GM may vent about the bosses to you, but apparently they are one big happy family after work! 4. Little to no salary increment. Management will constantly focus on what you’re lacking and what you need to improve on, while citing poor company performance and lack of profitability as reasons for not rewarding employees. 5. The list goes on. Join at your own risk.
