Managers and Supervisors will lie constantly. The truth will be what happens to be convenient for them at that moment, and any other version didn’t happen at all. They consider a 3.5% raise to be miles above a 3% raise. That’s what you get, yearly. Unless they’ve decided to not do them this year. Or the last.
