Pros

Flexible hours, understanding middle management, ample holidays and vacation with options, a friendly headquarters, a weekly accountability system (whether or not it works is subject to question, but it's there)

Kontras

Grossly underpaid employees at the technical levels- though I cannot comment on management scales. Very profit-driven, which on it's own is good for a company, but very bad for any employee with issues. Make no mistake; you will be let go fairly easily with little to no benefit of the doubt. The saving grace is the middle management knows all these things, and on my very first day I got what amounted to an apology for having to work for the company at a low level. Ouch

Pros

Six3systems gave me an opportunity that was instrumental in getting me where I am today. At the time I was retiring out of the service and they offered me an opportunity that benefitted them as well as me. The experience I gained opened so many doors to my follow on opportunity. Please don't consider this a dig on the company, I'm very grateful for their trust in me. *recruiting was very candid and up front with me. Kudos to them, there were no surprises.

Kontras

The only issues I had were mostly because of the contract/client site. Outside of that, I have no complaints.

Pros

Earlier on the salary was fantastic, but in the world of contracting with the DOD salaries get worse every year so the company can bank more profits because they underbid to stay on contract, thus ruining every companies salaries. The benefits are fantastic if you work internationally, Cigna International, it pays 100% of everything. I cannot comment on stateside benefits.

Kontras

Deceivers, first line management, promotion availability. Everything that a recruiter tells you is probably false, they don't want you to promote into a new position because it hurts their new hire numbers. At the end the company just uses you. When I went home for my son to be born my manager stated that she did not understand why it was a priority. So I was passed up for a site lead position, great company right?
