Management: The managers are not leaders. They do not know how to lead a team, how to train develop, and retain hard working contributors. They only react when things go poorly to save themselves. Mapping out a career here is pointless when the managers don’t care enough to work on your growth and potential, and when you do get this kind of conversation, you get empty promises. Male dominated leadership. Women in executive/leadership positions are almost non-existent. I can confidently say the next VP of sales will be a MAN. The “fake it until you make it” mentality is almost a rule in the employee handbook and yet it is obvious that some of management can’t even fake it well enough to seem competent. Execs don't even take the time to get to know their team. Exclusively about what the numbers look like, never a moment about the person impacting the numbers. INEXPERIENCED AND CLUELESS MANAGEMENT: If they want to fire you, they will build this story about you and file a case to eventually fire you. Business Practices: Sales performance targets are continuously changed and combined with poor training, this does not set employees up for success. You could be working toward a goal for half a month and then find out it’s no longer relevant. Training is highly focused on new talent just to get them up and running and whatever training they implement for established sales team always misses the mark. Advice: Always keep track of your own performance, write and email yourself any correspondence because when crap hits the fan you are on your own to prove yourself even if you do everything right there is no winning because they will come up with some false reasons they created based on fictional numbers to fire you on the day before your birthday. Hello thanks for caring. The business is run to appeal to the board and investors so they can go public. It’s very obvious they are manipulating the numbers just to IPO Employees are dispensable. I am sure it costs the company a good amount of time and money to hire someone, put them through new employee orientation then sales orientation, provide a laptop, free lunch every day and then let them go within 3 months of hire right after the new hire’s ramp up period just finished. Add in a HR complaint and they instantly terminate you. Remember that HR will always have the side of the employer/executive and not the employee. There is an extreme lack of direction, especially within the sales department. You can’t create a sales plan when leadership is constantly changing targets. Feedback on performance is very robotic it’s because of the above My compensation and bonus plan and scorecard changed quickly even in the short time I was there, where before you would earn every dollar, but now it takes more and more work against constantly shifting targets to get half of what you would’ve gotten before Workplace Environment/Culture: A deep culture of nepotism where they do not value all Titans and their feedback, especially if that feedback comes from a female. Retaining strong Titans (employees) is not a priority. There’s a difference between letting go of poor performers and only keeping people who are your “bro”. False promises – constantly saying we will do this/that and falling short or merely not even bothering to follow through It’s very apparent that they play games to not fix an issue or provide a better work experience - they just put a band-aid on it for damage control If you’re a woman and you raise any issue with how things are presented/how business is conducted, you’re told that you’re just being overly emotional/sensitive As numerous reviews have said, it’s a boy’s club here Toxic sales culture and politics You get free food, snacks, and drinks (including alcohol) which is nice, but after awhile you get the sense that it’s only there to draw attention away from the systemic issues that plague the workplace Yeah sure we get unlimited PTO but that comes at a cost. Take a week off to go on vacation with your family and have it affect your quota for the month which potentially leads to probation or work 12 hour-days to eventually get fired anyway. No win-win. Training: The company is so focused on growing at a rapid pace that they neglect to continue to train and improve their current employees, so they lose good people who work hard and want to be part of a team that makes a difference Non-existent support from management and terrible training. I worked for 2 Fortune 500 companies in sales and it was stunning how basic their training is. No resources for individual growth. Putting documents on HighSpot (internal Dropbox equivalent) and telling us to read it doesn't count as training. You’re basically set up to fail. The product has a steep learning curve, but there’s very basic training, and if you don’t hit targets immediately, you’re basically going to be terminated (unless you happen to have your manager like you). It is because they only care about the close rate. Somehow as a 2 month in employee, your performance will be measured against 2-year employees and if you don’t stack up, you’re either out or get put on probation. A lot of things are tribal knowledge yet nobody on the training team thought about collecting the data to make it readily available for the new employees. Social Issues: HR doesn't take sexism seriously There were so many red flags the third week after I started working here but I focused on work and started to fake my smile and show excitement after being called out on why I don’t show excitement, when it was because I was working hard and trying to train myself on the software No respect for the females that work there. If you have ideas or opinions don't bother sharing them, as they won’t take you seriously especially if you’re a woman If a woman is promoted, you can bet that there will be whispers about how she got it. Final Thoughts You can expect that someone on the “Employee Engagement” team will post a generic response to this about how they’re sorry that my experience was so poor and all the steps they’re taking to improve etc. But you’ll notice that for the last two years, every negative post has a similar response, and yet nothing seems to be changing. And then all of a sudden a bunch of excellent reviews all posted on the same day will show up. I’m sure the same will happen here to push this review off the main page. Do your research, read what’s available and good luck to you.

Pros

Really decent benefits regarding healthcare. The people on the teams themselves are great. Too bad they're stuck there right along-side you in a rough spot.

Kontras

-Overwhelming amount of information to learn about a software that they keep adding more and more new features to. (Constantly, its unending, the software is so massive at this point its overwhelming to both customers and support.) -Pushing more and more AI creep. The new AI case assistant is going to take over the position soon, we're literally teaching it how to do our jobs and solve cases for us. It already knows how to do so, it's just getting fine tuned and we're the ones providing it info. -Management has no idea what they're doing and feels like they're constantly panicking and pushing harder for stats and metrics that feel rough and unreasonable. -No communication between major teams, leading to internal friction that leads to you wondering 'what do these other people even do around here' sort of mentality? -No room for upwards movement into the company, applied many times for positions and was kept where I was with replies of, "You weren't quite what we were looking for." -Armenian support seems to get treated far better than American Support staff. Getting extra holidays off while American Staff still have to work most holidays to begin with.
