Pros

-100% will recommend to a friend. You have to be somewhat comfortable with change, occasional ambiguity, and empowerment. -Engineering function has generally strong management -Great corporate transparency -flat org structure with ability to reach out to anyone -we're growing in our continuous improvment journey -People are empowered to improve their situations by raising concerns, helping with improvement projects, and escalating issues/barriers -Super fun coworkers, great sense of community -Some offices dog friendly -Good training/development opportunities (this can vary by department and how much you know is available and can ask for) -We've taken DEI seriously. Our offices are more welcoming and more fun because of it. -Some flexibility in time for work/life balance, appointments during business hours, etc -High pay for the bike industry, decent for any industry. We might be slipping behind other industries slightly in recent years, but I'm not leaving! (note: total comp includes a bonus. You can't compare salaries with others that don't have a bonus)

Kontras

-Management/leadership quality can vary by department.

Pros

In general, SRAM is very easy going and it's an environment that isn't confrontational or competitive. Leadership is focused on employees and is very approachable. I feel a lot of security in my job and that I'd have a job here forever if I choose to stay. There's a lot of professional autonomy.

Kontras

For being a larger company, there's no structure for teaching employees how to do a job or process. They are trying to create some structure, but most processes are half-baked and not detailed enough to actually do it correctly. Leadership is really nice, but is lacking the "leadership" qualities that facilitate departments sharing information, best practices and growth. If I want to grow and learn, I need to seek out my own training.
