Pros
Working with some of the most dedicated educators in the country, committed to ensuring the best *possible* level of instruction in media arts. Company also provides regular professional training as part of job remit.
Kontras
Hard work is rewarded only with more work. Staff are badly over-worked, students badly under-served; especially those from overseas. The syllabus material is regularly rushed, late and/or incomplete. Onus for this, as well as miles of red tape, is placed entirely upon staff. Certain specific aspects of SAE's official internal policy actually contravene the National Employment Standard, yet so far as I am aware remain unchanged. In my opinion, SAE's management are as a matter of policy committed to keeping costs low and staff silent. A pervasive atmosphere of mistrust keeps staff afraid for their jobs; and HR are not there to help.
