Pros
1. A good cause that drives the company mission: They are building a system to fight fraud, thus making the world better by identifying and preventing crime. During my time there, I always enjoyed the strong impression, that this mission is driving everyone and making the cross-team collaboration very enjoyable and productive.
2. An approachable and empathic leadership: Due to very difficult private circumstances, I needed a change in the mode of work considerably. Here I received outstanding support from my awesome team, the tech leadership, HR and the higher management to arrange a good solution.
3. A very good atmosphere: Everyone is very friendly and forthcoming. There is a sense of unity in bringing about an awesome work environment. There are regular team events, BBQ at the office and different groups of employees with shared interests are getting together for activities.
4. Joyful work at home and remote: The working hours are flexible. Remote work is possible, while working in the office is very enjoyable. Crafted by a workforce of committed employees, the office features many nice things like an Arcade cabinet, a kicker table and obviously a good coffee machine and a fridge full of all kinds of soft drinks.
Kontras
There are no definite cons from my perspective. One thing that might be either a pro or con, depending on your current location and plans, is that you will need to relocate to Hamburg with support from Risk.Ident due to company policy and German regulations.
