Lack of Training: There is virtually no training provided. You may receive a brief, poorly delivered introduction to a new function, MAYBE lasting an hour, after which you are expected to perform at a higher level and meet deadlines for this new function for the remainder of your tenure, despite not having received adequate instruction or even the instructor knowing how to do each task during the initial training. Role Misalignment: You may be hired for one position, only to find yourself redirected to answering phones and managing workloads for others, with no opportunity for reciprocity. This occurs because you will not need to be "trained" enough to answer phones or cover for them, but they cannot perform your higher-level functions if you needed time off, so you are consistently digging a hole and then playing catch up. Role Salary Misalignment: The particular role I ended up in is given WAY more responsibilities than any other role, but somehow still makes very similar to what the other employees make in terms of salary. There is a SERIOUS problem with the way salaries are calculated and weighed against actual job functions or skill/working experience. There are many non-supervisor employees with few responsibilities who have time to check the work of others or count/inquire on the deadlines of others, while not actually producing much themselves. Different rules for different people: I've found that supervisors or those in manager roles will take more time off than any other employees, and department specific rules are NOT applied in an equitable way amongst all of the employees. One employee will be placed under a microscope and micromanaged, while other employees are never audited or looked at in the same regard.
