Pros
Incredible culture. Ravn stands out for being a company with strong values, where communication and collaboration between teams are key to success. Constructive feedback process. You receive direct feedback about what you need to improve. It’s delivered respectfully and with the intention of helping everyone grow as a team. Exposure to different clients and architectures. You get to work with multiple clients, each with different architectures and ways of working, which makes it a great place to learn and constantly be challenged. Good pay.
Kontras
Hourly-based work. You work on an hourly basis. It’s not necessarily a problem, but it may take some time to get used to if you’re coming from a salaried model. No official holidays. There are no company holidays (not even Christmas or New Year). You can take those days off without issues, but since payment is hourly, you may need to compensate with extra hours if you want to maintain your income. Payment timing. Payments are sometimes made up to about 10 days after the end of the month. You can get used to it, but it’s something to keep in mind so you can plan your bills and expenses accordingly.
