Pros

Company hires really best people everywhere, so I, as a product lead, can focus on the product growth rather than project or people management. I have space to try my ideas, frameworks, approaches as long as team and product guild is sharing their craft and experience. Be ready to be challenged by engineers with questions like „Why do we do this feature, and not that? Who are competitors and what are they doing?”. Everyone around are T-shaped, so they do have inputs and also everyone opinion matters. It does not mean you can’t make your decisions, it just means that you have dozens of ideas from different contributors. And idea from content writer has same value as an idea from CEO. Almost forgot: great work/life balance together with faster productivity than you can see in other companies. This is reached by working with mature senior-level experts in the team.

Kontras

There are several products on each products and usually all big decisions are crafted together. They are definitely better than one PdM can make on their own, but just something you need to get used to. It’s hard to measure your personal success and contribution in this way.

Pros

You'll be able to work with truly remarkable engineers and product managers. The onboarding process and people management in general are also at a great level.

Kontras

Speaking about its own products, the positioning, target audience and find a market fit can be pretty vague and not always consistent. Also, there were some questionable team management decisions at times: toxic people were kept for far too long, great managers were laid off because there was no scope for them to allocate.
