Pros

Benefits were decent. Met some great coworkers. The company talks a lot about culture, values, and taking care of employees, but that wasn't my experience.

Kontras

Everything revolved around profitability while office employees were expected to do more and more without seeing much in return. Raises were difficult to come by and usually met with false excuses about budgets and empty promises while it was evident others got handouts. Key words being nepotism and favoritism. Communication was all over the place. Processes changed constantly, priorities changed constantly, and half the time nobody seemed to be on the same page. You could get told one thing one week and something completely different the next. It created a lot of uncertainty, stress and confusion. Management loved to withhold information and dump it into your lap for you to pick up the pieces afterwards. There also seemed to be different rules for different people. Some employees were held accountable for everything while others seemed to get a pass. That kind of inconsistency wears people down over time. The common excuse being summer by the field. We were all stressed. Turnover was extremely high. It felt like every week numerous people were leaving or getting let go. It got to the point where it wasn't surprising anymore. Instead of asking why people weren't staying, the attitude often felt like employees were easily replaceable. It’s made clear when you look at the difference in pay for an office role versus a field technician. RSC is not competitive, period. The workload and added expectations became overwhelming. Bringing up concerns rarely felt productive, and employees were often expected to just deal with whatever new issue came up. A lot of good people left because they were burned out, frustrated, or simply found better opportunities elsewhere. I quit for my own sanity. The stress, lack of communication, constant changes, and lack of growth outweighed any reason to stay. There are much better companies out there that value their employees and back up what they say with actions. This company is failing.
