Unfortunately, the pro’s are only the perks that you get when you work for the company. There are actually no “real” professional perks about working for RISE. -Micromanagers: Team leads, managers, and directors do not know how nor do they have the experience to properly lead a team. I cannot tell you how many times I was talked to in a condescending manner by the joke of a person that I directly reported to. Everything I ever did was used as an example for the team to never do again. They never looked at the full scope and evaluated the situation; instead, leaders led with fear and employees were scolded for their mistakes. Management had to constantly know where you were at, even when you were working from home or working out of the same office space. Another example is if you didn’t respond to a #slack message, you would get tagged or bumped in that thread by upper management for an immediate response. The turn around time to respond to these messages had to be basically instantly and nearly impossible when your days are filled with back to back meetings. -No 401k match program -Although RISE is now a public company, stock options are not available to non-management employees -Although several options are offered, health insurance is costly -“Unlimited PTO” - Sure, in theory, an unlimited PTO program is a great concept and can be potentially good for companies that use it fairly. Not at RISE. They manipulate you into thinking how great and flexible an unlimited PTO program is and how a work-life balance is important, but at RISE, you are scrutinized for taking any time off, even when you are sick. Oftentimes, employees are told to work from home, despite how sick they may be. -Extremely high stress levels -Favoritism DOES run in the office and the amount of it that exists is disgusting -Work-life balance: Forget it - it doesn’t exist. Employees constantly bring work home and work until all hours of the night. This in turn creates angry employees that are overstressed and overworked, despite how glorified the unlimited PTO program is. What a joke. -Accountability: This was by far the most frustrating part of working at RISE. There are a handful of employees that slack off there and the other hardworking employees would have no choice but to make up for their lack of work. This also bled into management. -Toxic environment: Directors would say one thing, and do the complete opposite. It’s been explicitly said by these “upper management” team members by how they would lie to their employees just to get them to do what they wanted. -Excessively high employee turn over: And for all these reasons (and many, many more), the employee turn over rate is extremely high. And this is broken down into 2 parts: 1) Management doesn’t know how to hire competent employees and fill positions with the CORRECT people (I.E., there was a team lead that was demoted because he just simply did a poor job, yet he still kept his senior level position/title, which made absolutely no sense) 2) The high stress and toxic environment

Where do I even begin... I worked at Rise for over a year and at first it was good when it was just a small scale company. As soon as they started hiring their friends, it all went down hill from there. Management were snakes. They would lie to their employees just to get them to do what THEY wanted. They worked their way around the payroll system so they didnt have to pay their drivers triple over-time for a 24hr+ driving shift. The company would sell you the perks (care free work environment and unlimted PTO) only to work you like a dog. When you made mistakes management would come down on you like you caused the company to go bankrupt. Managers made up lies and spread rumors about employees that were no longer with the company. Managers would hold grudges if you didnt do what he asked. For example, one of the managers was not able to make a long haul drive to Socal to fix a mistake due to their inability to staff correctly, so they used that as a reason for termination. They have no idea the day to day operations of the company but comes in powertripping and yells at everyone for something out of their control. Management would blame the staff for not fulfilling orders on time but this was not the staff's fault, it was a lack of communication from upper management and their inability to staff accordingly. As mentioned in the other review, FAVORITISM is clearly present in this company. They hired a their friends knowing they weren't fit for the job. The friend they hired does a horrible job at work and sometimes just doesn't do the job. He would come to work hung over and then brag about how much he had drank the night before with the bosses. He made numerous mistakes that would call for immediate termination but he never even got any warnings. At RISE, accomplishments are not recognized; however, mistakes projected to the ENTIRE company. THIS is not how to build a company. Bringing each other down, talking behind your employees backs, lying and spreading rumors is what working at RISE is all about if you are sitting up with these inexperienced so called owners/managers. This company does not offer any real benefits. The amount the company co-pays for their medical, you're better off applying for Covered California. No one cares about you at work or what you do but it doesn't mean they don't want to know where you are at all times. They used to have a company wide meeting EVERY MORNING about deliveries. Im not sure why every department needed to attend this meeting that went over how the deliveries went the day before. We used SLACK to communicate and if you did not respond, they joke and put you on blast (real professional), then blow up your phone wondering why you didn't respond.
