Big difference in treatment between local staff and engineers. Local employees are considered as easily replaceable. Low salary for local staff. No flexibility in schedules for local staff . No support from local management. No canteen for lunch in the building : we ate in offices that served as a meeting room when available. Local Management is not always honest about the duration of employment contracts or hides the fact that an employee will replace someone on sickness leave who should come back sooner or later (redudancy situation). The labor laws are not always respected with local staff.
