Pros
The management when I started was really amazing — super organized, supportive, and made everything run smoothly. I was able to move up from a normal staff member to a supervisor, and the team was absolutely great, friendly, and fun to work with. The company made things easy with logistics, hiring a car and delivering it to your door, covering travel expenses, and even letting you travel internationally for work — I got the chance to go to Milan, Italy, which was an incredible experience. The role is flexible and casual, which works really well for students or anyone looking for temporary work, and the variety of shifts and locations kept things interesting.
Kontras
After the original manager left, the temporary manager who replaced him was really arrogant and often spoke disrespectfully in front of other team members and customers. The permanent manager who came after was completely disorganized, making lots of mistakes with scheduling, transport, and rosters, which made the job unbearable at times. The job itself is casual, with no guaranteed working days, and shifts can be anywhere in Ireland at any time — morning, afternoon, or night — sometimes with very little rest in between. Pay progression was minimal, and the unpredictable schedule makes long-term work-life balance challenging. Overall, while the job offers experience and a good team under strong management, the poor behavior of some managers and the disorganization in later management made it difficult to continue long-term.
