This was by far the worst job I have ever had. "Management" was impulsive, erratic, and paranoid, with zero concept of office culture because they don’t understand, or require, human interaction. The company runs with no plan—only knee-jerk decisions and reactions. You won’t be allowed to interact with co-workers face to face because everything must be transcripted or documented via phone or messenger. You’ll have to clock out to use the bathroom, and audio is recorded without employees knowing. The atmosphere was tense and cold; it made my skin crawl sitting there, knowing their entire workday was comprised of watching and listening to employees instead of fostering collaboration. They’re obsessed with 100% productivity, monitoring every click, mouse movement, and minute of your day. They don’t value opinions or quality of life, and have no interest in getting to know you. They have zero communication skills, and mind reading is an expectation of the job. Asking questions is discouraged because management is too busy to answer them, but will then criticize others for making mistakes because they should have asked! Everybody there is miserable and spoken down to in a condescending tone. It's a shame interaction was forbidden because everyone there was really cool and very hardworking-the only highlight of the day was being able to steal 5 minutes with them before management arrived at work. I was hired for this role under the guise of it being an exciting, fast-paced position, requiring no prior tech experience. It was expressed multiple times that I needed to be extremely busy at work and that I thrive in an environment where I can interact with coworkers and build relationships with clients. I was then hired full time with zero plan for what I would actually do for 8 hours a day. I was isolated from the rest of my coworkers in a room where management sat behind me but NEVER interacted with me. I was told there wasn't much of a learning curve, only to find that I had to learn many complex apps and programs through remote training from people in South Africa. I had a handful of reoccurring tasks that would take me less than an hour to do a day at best, and then I would just sit there miserably, looking for things to do all day, not being allowed to talk to anyone. I endured this bizarre environment for almost 6 months, waiting for the role to develop as my I suffered from boredem and regret. Their idea of "work" was me trolling social media to try and find potential employees from other companies for a position that they felt no one was ever good enough to actually be hired for. I could keep going, but the truth is, I wouldn't work there if I was offered a million dollars a year, and you shouldn't either. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. There is no amount of money that would be worth the nightmares I am still having from working there. But hey, they bought bagels for everyone every Monday, so that makes up for it all!
