Pros

Good work/life balance, easy to get time off if you need it. There are some good people there, made a lot of friends.

Kontras

Raises are very low and inconsistent. Management is not always clear with direction the company is headed, and changing their minds and doing a 180 a few months later.

For example, you categorize raises as very low and inconsistent. One of the first post divestiture actions was to run a merit planning process for all employees with an average pool of 4%. This is significantly better than the national average. I'd love to understand your expectations and how we failed to meet them. Quest Software is a great place to work. The people are genuinely good people, very knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Quest is a strong environment if you enjoy solving complex technical problems, working with experienced teams, and helping customers address real business and security challenges. The company has a deep portfolio, talented employees, and many opportunities to collaborate across sales, presales, product management, engineering, and customer-facing teams. I also appreciate the flexibility, the trust given to senior employees, and the ability to contribute strategically beyond a narrow job description.

Kontras

Like many large technology organizations, processes can sometimes be complex, and internal alignment across teams may take time. There are also opportunities to improve enablement, communication, and consistency around product packaging, roadmap visibility, and internal workflows.
