Pay is slightly higher than average but no bonus scheme.

It's a shame the great folks who do the work are let down by management who are all old, white men. The CEO is a boomer himself from old money. He may seem kind and grandfatherly, but he watches all revenue like a hawk and will cut you if you're benched.
I'm one of the many folks who got laid off when their bread & butter (BC govt contracts) dried up. We had a hiring spree the year before which proved short-sighted and unsustainable - something that should've been obvious, But this company has been a traditionally a sales / contractor company who only cares about the bottom line.
HR (people & culture) - are there to enforce the CEO's will, nothing more. They're not their to support you, they're not your friends nor are they interested in lifting company morale. People "disappear" and they won't tell you why. They do very little and are overpaid.
