Strong team culture and supportive managers who trust engineers to do their jobs. There’s a lot of autonomy, and you’re encouraged to think beyond just writing code — understanding the business and healthcare impact is part of the role. I appreciate the flexibility and the emphasis on collaboration rather than heroics. Teams are collaborative, leadership is approachable, and there’s a genuine emphasis on work-life balance. I’ve had opportunities to work across the stack and contribute ideas that were actually implemented.
Kontras
Like many growing companies, processes are still evolving, so things can occasionally feel scrappy. That said, leadership is receptive to feedback and actively working to improve.

Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback—and for being part of the PatientPoint team for over a year.
We’re especially proud to hear that you’ve experienced strong team culture, supportive managers, and the autonomy to think beyond just writing code. That reflects our Innovation, Technology & Agility—where engineers are empowered to understand the business, the healthcare impact of their work, and contribute ideas that truly move the needle.
We also appreciate your candid feedback about evolving processes and the recommendation to continue investing in tooling and documentation. As we scale, strengthening our foundations is a priority, and input like yours helps us improve in the right ways.
Thank you again for your contributions and for helping us build technology for the point of change.

They have very few competitors in a marketplace with real opportunity for growth. They have a good tech stack (dbt + Airflow + Snowflake + Looker).
Kontras
Although many smart people work here, incompetence in engineering and engineering management runs rampant (it's rare to find an engineer who can work with git) and an attitude of "don't rock the boat above all else" seems to prevail.
