Pros

Very professional working people, top management are experienced and well educated. Great Culture

Kontras

The merger with Cardon Outreach was chaotic. Cardon did not like to play the roll of "acquired" and always attempted to play as if they were 1 step above the rest of the MedData family of companies. Pretty much everything that relates Cardon Outreach to MedData is a Con

Thank you for expressing your experience with the acquisition. When we acquired Cardon, the plan was to keep them as a separate entity for at least one year. That plan changed and as a result, we had 4 months to integrate everything. One of the reasons MedData has grown from 200 employees in 2011 to 2200 today is from our practice to be inclusive. Inclusive in all ways, better practices, and best practices, and leadership practices the same. We have leaders at every level of the organization made up of the various acquisitions we have made since 2009. We never want to drink too much of our own Kool-Aid, even if embracing new people, styles and practices is challenging, and sometimes less efficient than desired. We will try and be better every single time.

Pros

- Most of the employees are nice and pleasant to work with in my experience. - There are opportunities to learn new things in the short term. - At least for my squad it was very remote-friendly

Kontras

(Note: My group was somewhat isolated from the primary company somewhat so my experience may not be representative as a whole) - C-level folks have somewhat opaque ties to low-pay offshore contractors and were making moves (direct and indirect) to cut ties with both on-shore full-time devs and higher skilled offshore devs from other companies - (related to above) Generally senior leadership made it clear that employees are viewed as expendable resources and not as a group of people working to build something great. - Yearly raises are percentage based with a low ceiling. I had the best performance review in my group and I received a ~3% raise when inflation was 8% and I was very underpaid to begin with. - Tight integration with Microsoft products (including Teams)
