Pros

I’ve been working here for 7 years now, and it’s been a truly rewarding experience. From the beginning, I’ve found this to be a nurturing environment. I started as a reading teacher and learned the ropes with the help of mentor teachers who were incredibly supportive and guided me every step of the way. It’s not a high-pressure workplace, which makes it much easier to focus on teaching and connecting with students. My colleagues are friendly, collaborative, and always open to discussing and helping out when needed. One thing I really appreciate is that teachers here are highly valued and respected. September is even designated as Teachers' Appreciation Month, which makes us feel recognised for the work we do. The leadership is approachable and open to feedback, which fosters a sense of trust and understanding. They don’t micromanage, which allows teachers the flexibility to tweak lessons and better cater to students’ needs. The curriculum is solid and provides a strong platform for lesson preparation. It strikes a good balance between structure and adaptability, enabling us to deliver effective lessons while also making adjustments where needed. Overall, this is a place where teachers are supported and respected, and I’ve enjoyed both the professional and personal growth I’ve experienced here.

Kontras

Saturdays can get busy and feel heavy with back-to-back classes. However, this seems quite typical for the industry and is something I’ve come to expect in this line of work. Thankfully many of the centres dont have classes on Sunday.
