Pros
I've been at Kin for a few months now and I'm really happy. I work with really smart people, I'm able to make suggestions to improve our work and they are taken seriously, our leadership team is pretty transparent, and I work with a great team.
We are in growth mode which means things change fairly often. I've never worked at a start-up before so it taken me time to get used to this type of environment. We got hit with a lot of changes last summer and again in the new year but management has always been transparent about what was going on, which I appreciate it.
I do like that I'm learning about the industry and business in general. Our COO has a strong business background and he shares his knowledge and insights somewhat regularly, I appreciate that, I've definitely learned more about sales and marketing in the last few months.
There does seem to be opportunity to grow though it isn't always clear how this can happen. We've had internal opportunities posted for employees to interview and I've seen people get special projects and then permanently move to a new team.
Overall, I'm happy with my role and the people I work with. I'm glad to get experience at a start-up to learn more about business. I like our culture, it's super social, we have have happy hours from time to time, my coworkers are fun, and no one gets mad if we take a break to play ping-pong
Kontras
this isn't that much of a con but because we are a young company, career growth isn't defined.
