Kontras
I am so exhausted and overworked. My field manager constantly throws work at me, expects me to cover it and promises she’ll work with me on due dates; only to deny due date extensions when I need them. I am currently covering about 80 miles per day and working from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm or more. On Thursdays I am usually low on hours with about 1 to 2 hours left and they do not approve OT, yet expect me to do and submit the work on time. I am just exhausted and I need to get out of this contract they made me sign because they have very unfair practices. Do not do it! I am a very good performer in my area and their reward is always MORE WORK! When you submit your case, another case comes in within 24 hours. If another investigator in your area is lazy, and does not do a lot of work, you will get their cases! The virtual training is interesting. They make you go to Colorado for 2 weeks for in house training, and that was fun, but you're in the classroom from 8:00 am until 5: 00 pm every day. I know, it's for training, so it's expected, but as soon as you finish your training in house, FORGET MOST OF IT. Delete 90% of it because the field work is a whole different beast. After in house, you'll get to do on the job training with a "seasoned" investigator. I learned my OJT trainer had been with the company about 8 months and other than providing tidbits of useful information, she just added on tons of stress. I worked endless hours during OJT because my trainer wanted to look good for our field manager and she did not allow me to claim OT stating "driving time, or admin time is not really work". Yes, that's the mentality and culture in this company. Back away now... and take me with you!
