My department had 2 hours a week dedicated to professional development. I also supervised and worked with some AMAZING people. Campus is also beautiful.

In my department particularly, accountability doesn't happen. So as a supervisor, when I tried to hold people accountable I was either admonished from my supervisors (when I actually had one) or made to be a villain. There's also little room for advancement unless you kiss the ring or strive for mediocrity. If you are good at your job you are just given more work with no additional compensation or benefits. It's framed as a "resume builder". Toxic people are promoted because people are afraid of them. And if you are a white male, you can do no wrong. And this was all pre-COVID. Since COVID entire departments weren't able to work from home, which is understandable, but then a whole hullabaloo was made when we all "returned" to campus. And a promise of an updated WFH option was promised and basically no one can partake in it. It's laughable. When anything happens on campus it is only on the staff to remedy, faculty are rarely asked to engage because of the "union". While serving on the Anti-Racism Taskforce I kept bringing up that all the initiatives are staff and student led and very little asks for faculty to play a role and I was looked at like I was crazy. Anti-racism is everyone's job. My staff was getting paid $30,000 (master's required) yet faculty making lots more had to be more active participants in anti-racism work....k. I'm glad I left because I actually have a work life balance, more pay, and a working environment where "other duties as assigned" isn't grossly abused.
