Pros

The main reason I enjoyed my time at Insightpool was the people - everyone's incredibly motivated, kind, and passionate about the company. It is a great working environment that has very challenging work while maintaining a (mostly) stress-free and fun atmosphere. The hectic schedule and ever-changing responsibilities that come with a startup may be a turn off to some. However, it was a perfect fit for me as everything felt so much less mundane and way more exciting than a standard job.

Atlanta traffic is really bad, that's really the only negative I have

Pros

Creative, innovation, technology, SEO, paved the path for my professional career in social media/analytics tools/influencer marketing. Insightpool was at the forefront of the now overpopulated industry of social media influencers and the landscape has changed dramatically. Insight Pool is a revolutionary and visionary company in its own arena as well as the creativity realm. The company got on the creativity train before that was a commonplace trend in the workplace. I draw inspiration from their office space and general aura/philosophy because Insight Pool serves as a company that not only provides content but is making active change in the way we perceive a workspace. Insightpool is truly an extraordinary company that gave me a job when I didn't have a college degree yet or a ton of experience in the field. Overall, the opportunity of a lifetime. Thank you to my wonderful friends and family at insight pool for the amazing work that you do in your arena and around the world.

Direct engagement over twitter with influences or brands, it seemed contrived and I was very young and relatively inexperienced at the time. It mostly just made me nervous to talk to people I didn't know. Years later, that thought seems silly. I just needed to learn and grow. I did not feel that I was very good at my job and that was discouraging because I felt I didn't know what I was doing so I felt guilty that I could not add more perceived value to the company at that time. That being said, young people are our future and we should invest more in teaching as well as creating technological innovation and novel thought as well as great communication skills and content management.

Pros

My coworkers - The company is filled with intelligent, creative, and hardworking people. It's apparent from Day 1, that the people who are successful here work hard for themselves (they are naturally driven), for their team (they build others up, and they're quick to offer help), and for the company (they know they are a part of building something big). Access to upper management - I personally know and have spent time with everyone in the company regardless of their title. Company Culture - We make it a priority to get to know each other. There's at least one social event a month. Everyone is inclusive. We celebrate wins - These could be big celebrations or they could be small celebrations. They could be company celebrations or they could be individual celebrations. They could be career related celebrations (for example - workiversaries) or just general life celebrations (birthdays, bridal showers, etc.). If you're motivated by awards and rewards, you'll really enjoy this aspect of the company.

You will not be happy here: if you're driven mostly by money, if you're uncomfortable with change, or if you expect 9-5 hours. There are days when half of the company is at the office past 7. But there are also days when most of the company leaves before 5. It just depends. We're also making transitions constantly. Every two weeks there's a new face in the office or a new process put in place or a new role responsibility, etc. Some people thrive off of change, and some people really dislike it. You just have to know what type of person you are, and then take this into consideration when applying here.
